"No man is allowed to be a judge in his own cause, because his interest would certainly bias his judgment, and, not improbably, corrupt his integrity."
I agree to the fullest with this quote because we would always defend ourselves. if we were our own judge, we would be blinded by our own desires and selfishness to make fair, justifiable and equal judgements.
"The instability, injustice, and confusion introduced into the public councils, have, in truth, been the mortal diseases under which popular governments have everywhere perished"
-I was amused by this quote because it shows timeless crimes of a government. the corruption, bribery and lies unfortunately co-exist with a government. I believe that a perfect government would be moralistic, ethical and clean.
"The influence of factious leaders may kindle a flame within their particular states, but will be unable to spread a general conflagration through the other states."

"There are two methods of curing the mischiefs of faction: the one, by removing its causes; the other, by controlling its effects." - This stood out to me because it seemed too simple and generalized. To elaborate, i think that the methods that James Madison stated werent specific enough for all circumstances of factions. However, i believe that removing the causes and controing the effects are the most basic, effective, and efficient way to defeat factions.
